5/28: Amel Larrieux, Laurel and Hardy, and Jim Breuer

Amel Larrieux fuses the world, Laurel and Hardy live and Jim Breuer gets baked

LOVELY FUSION: Amel Larrieux likes hip-hop, gospel, R&B, funk and she even delves into Middle Eastern, West African and ethnic Indian sounds. Lucky for you, Larrieux likes to blend her diverse musical interests together and perform. She will take the stage at Yoshi's San Francisco at 8 p.m. Tickets start at just $5 at the door.

COMEDY LIVES: It doesn't get much funnier than the slapstick humor of Laurel and Hardy. The influential stars shorts will be on display at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Screening Room, 701 Mission St., at 7:30 p.m. in San Francisco.

TOTALLY BAKED: Okay so Fairfield is a little bit of trek from the Bay Area but it is still within striking distance to see one of the stars of the cult classic "Half Baked" live in the flesh. No, not Dave Chappelle but Jim Breuer will bring his unique take on the world to Pepperbelly's Comedy Club, 849 Texas St., in Fairfield at 8 p.m.
