Afroman Arrested After Allegedly Hitting a Female Fan in the Face Onstage in Mississippi

It's because he couldn't see what was going on.

At least that's what Afroman's rep insists after the "Because I Got High" rapper was arrested on assault charges Tuesday after allegedly clocking a woman in the face when she popped up onstage during his performance at Kress Live in Biloxi, Mississippi.

The incident was caught on video obtained by TMZ, but his rep told the site that security was lacking at the venue and Afroman couldn't tell what the fan's intention was, let alone that it was a woman.

The woman in question was escorted off the stage by security and proceeded to file a report.

Meanwhile, E! News confirms that Biloxi Police took Afroman (real name Joseph Edgar Foreman) into custody outside Kress Live after responding to a call about an assault. The rapper was booked and released on a $330 bond.
