Alyssa Milano Slams Heathrow Airport for Confiscating Her Breast Milk

Alyssa Milano is not a happy traveler.

The mother of two went on a Twitter rant earlier this morning after she said a security agent at Heathrow Airport threw her breast milk away.

"@HeathrowAirport just took my pumped breast milk away. 10 ounces. Gone. Not okay," she began by telling her fans.

"They said they would let the pumped milk through if I had the baby with me. Why would I need to pump if I had the baby with me????"

Milano, who gave birth to daughter Elizabella Dylan just seven months ago, continued, "I would have happily spread milk in different containers (which I travel with) to comply to those liquid rules. Instead, milk was taken away with no discussion. Shampoos, lotions, etcetera were simply tested and handed back with no issue. Makes no sense at all."

Milano added that the airport should have tested her milk, in addition to her toiletries, to ensure that they were safe enough to board with her on the transatlantic flight.

"Why can you test my toiletries to make sure they are safe but you have to throw away my breast milk?"

The international airport saw her complaints via Twitter and responded with: "Hi Alyssa. Unfortunately, without a baby present, the government requires all liquids in carry-ons to follow the 100ml rule."

This isn't the first time that the actress has spoken out on behalf of nursing mothers everywhere.

After posting a shot of her getting her hair and makeup done, with her little one breastfeeding at the same time, Milano addressed the mixed reactions she received via social media.

"I just think it's important for women to feel comfortable feeding their babies wherever," she told E! News this past December. "If we're in public, we shouldn't have to go in the bathroom."
