Country Singer Craig Strickland's Widow Pens Heartbreaking Essay on Grief

Just over a year after country singer Craig Strickland’s hunting death, his widow is sharing her mourning experience through a two-part blog post, reports Today.com.

Describing the moment when she heard that authorities had uncovered a capsized boat like her husband’s, Strickland writes, "I felt (and heard) my heart give one massive beat that seemed to push all the blood in my veins through my entire body in a single throb."

The former Miss Arkansas claims that her faith has pulled her through the pain.

"(I) realized what I was experiencing was bigger than me....It was about God, and God using Craig’s testimony to impact lives of more people than I could have ever imagined," she writes.
