Daughter Drops by Casey Kasem's Residence

Kerri Kasem spent an hour inside her father's residence.

Hours after a Washington state judge granted permission, a daughter of ailing radio personality Casey Kasem dropped by the home where he's staying for a visit Friday evening.

KING-TV reported Kerri Kasem spent an hour inside. She made no comment as she left.

A Kitsap County Superior Court judge has granted her regular visits with her father after she raised concerns about his well-being. She has said in legal filings that her father suffers from a form of dementia. She said he is also suffering from bedsores along with lung and bladder infections.

Casey Kasem gained fame with his radio music countdown shows, "American Top 40" and "Casey's Top 40." Now 82, he and his wife, Jean, have been staying with family friends west of Seattle.

Jean Kasem has been in control of his medical care. Court filings say Jean Kasem has blocked three of his children from seeing him in recent months.

Her lawyer denies that Casey Kasem's health has deteriorated since he was moved to Washington.
