Mitt Romney, Evander Holyfield to Square Off in Charity Boxing Match

Mitt Romney is trading the political arena for the boxing ring.

The former Massachusetts governor and 2012 presidential hopeful is duking it out against heavyweight boxing champion Evander Holyfield in a charity boxing match in Salt Lake City, Romney told The Salt Lake Tribune. The match will take place May 15.

That gives Romney a couple months to sharpen his footwork and boxing skills.

"It will either be a very short fight, or I will be knocked unconscious," he told The Tribune. "It won’t be much of a fight. We’ll both suit up and get in the ring and spar around a little bit."

The event will raise money for Charity Vision, a humanitarian organization aimed at providing physicians to developing countries to specifically establish care for blindness.

The fundraising event is intended to attract corporate sponsorships and will run between $250,000 and $25,000, Josh Romney told The Tribune. It will be a black-tie event with hors d’oeuvres.
