Adam Rippon Reflects on His Olympic Moments

Figure skater Adam Rippon became a star at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games, but his rise to stardom was not without political controversy. Rippon, the first openly gay U.S. Olympic figure skater, turned down an invitation to meet Vice President Mike Pence in Pyeongchang.

Director Sam Greisman finally met his Olympic crush, Adam Rippon, at a Human Rights Campaign gala in Los Angeles Saturday night, all thanks to the sly help of mom Sally Field.

During the Olympic Games, Greisman was not holding back his thoughts on Twitter about Rippon as he continuously tweeted his support and made his crush for the 28-year-old clear.

But it was Field who took matters into her own hands on Twitter by tweeting at America’s sweetheart figure skater a screenshot of a conversation she and Greisman had about Rippon.

A mom’s blessing is always appreciated as she encouraged her son to make a move in the text, "Sam... he's insanely pretty. Find a way.."

    Then she did it.

Greisman’s dream came true and shocked everyone with a picture of the two hugging last night.

It’s unclear if the two have anything beyond the photo planned as Greisman just tweeted, “Thanks, mom.” The tweet has almost 3,000 retweets as of Monday at 10:30 a.m.

Rippon may have won the bronze, but Field might be winning the gold in matchmaking.
