Johnny Weir's wardrobe choices for the Super Bowl XLIX pre-game Sunday did not disappoint.

The former Olympian showed up to the big game in a football-inspired get up of black tights and a shirt with blue sparkling "pads." A small football-shaped hat with glitter and black sneakers completed his adventurous look. Weir, who along with Tara Lipinski served as NBC's event reporters at the pre-game show, even added his own shimmery take on the eye black sported by players on the field.

Lipinski's look -- a short silver dress and matching peep toe pumps-- was more understated.

The pair interviewed celebrities during the official NFL pre-game party for VIP guests, the Super Bowl XLIX Tailgate Party.

The figure skaters first made an impression with their quirky commentary and outfits at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics. They were also invited to cover the Academy Awards red carpet and the Kentucky Derby last year.
