Twitter Users Celebrate President's Legacy; #ObamaAndKids Trends Online

A new hashtag began trending with posts of President Barack Obama with kids, NBC News reported.

#ObamaAndKids started circulating on Twitter after the release of an image from a Black History Month event at the White House this week. The photo shows a young boy standing near a rope line as he gazes up at the president, who touches his cheek.

Thousands of posts began popping up, including from Michelle Obama and the White House.

Entrepreneur Michael Skolnik said it’s important to note the impact America’s first black president has had on race relations and that “the way the kids — Latino, Native American, black — (have responded) to him” is amazing.
