Full Lolla Slate Revealed

Lady Gaga, Soundgarden among headliners

Now you can truly start making your Lollapalooza plans.

The lineup for the annual Grant Park music festival was finally unveiled at midnight, revealing a roster of acts that were leaked weeks ago, and throwing some pleasant surprises in the mix.

Not surprisingly, the headliners are Lady Gaga, Soundgarden, Green Day, Arcade Fire, The Strokes and Phoenix.

Other notable acts that should draw a crowd include Erykah Badu, fresh off her naked stunt in Dallas, Chicago's Mavis Staples, MGMT and plenty of weed anthems from Cypress Hill.

Let the debate begin on whether this year's lineup is worthy of your dollar. Outspoken Lollapalooza-critic Jim DeRogatis called it "Chicago's musical Walmart on the Lake" and characterized the remaining lineup as an "Old Country Buffet-style smorgasbord of established indie-rock buzz bands."

The Chicago Tribune's Greg Kot says "diversity is lacking" on the bill, while Time Out Chicago calls it the "most soulful Lolla yet" with artists such as reggae legend Jimmy Cliff, Raphael Saadiq and Nigerian singer Nneka.

As for Chicago talent, there's a sprinkling on the bill with the aforementioned Staples, Company of Thieves and DJ sets by Flosstradamus and Team Bayside High on Perry's stage.

Discuss. Debate. And rock out.

Lollapalooza is set for August 6-8 in Grant Park.
