Former Journey frontman Steve Perry has been found -- in public.
He was on stage with the Eels on the band's recent tour, singing a few old Journey classics.
Say what?
Eels frontman E, aka Mark Oliver Everett, reveals that Perry, who is a bit of a recluse, had rehearsed a few numbers with his band behind closed doors.
Yet it was still a massive surprise when Perry appeared on stage last week to "belt out" two Journey numbers, the San Francisco Examiner reported.
Turns out Perry had stalked E and the Eels for years, the newspaper reported, with E not really interested in meeting Perry -- he wasn't much of a Journey fan.
Yet the two ended up crafting a relationship, over -- of all things -- "croquet" at E's house, the newspaper reported.
And there Perry was, on-stage in Minneapolis, belting out "Open Arms" and "Lovin', Touchin, Squeezin'."
The Eels play in San Francisco tomorrow. Could Perry be far behind?
