Who Gets the Most Clean Energy Subsidies?

California's Self-Generation Incentive Program(SGIP) provides ratepayer subsidies to new energy technologies that reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Since 2007, Bloom Energy has received the lions share of these subsidies despite relying mostly on natural gas as a fuel.

The table above shows the amount of funding and number of projects each participating company has received from SGIP since 2007. The last column shows the percentage of SGIP projects which rely on natural gas as a fuel. While there are some companies which rely exclusively on natural gas, no one company comes close to Bloom's share of subsidies while relying so heavily on natural gas.
