Lee Harvey Oswald, in the custody of the Dallas Police Department.

Following his arrest at the Texas Theatre, Lee Harvey Oswald was transported to Dallas police headquarters and taken up to the third floor offices of the homicide and robbery bureau for interrogation.

Oswald arrived at police headquarters at about 2 p.m. and by 2:20 p.m. he was sitting in front of Capt. J. Will Fritz "for the first of several interrogation sessions," as stated in the Warren Commission Report.

At 4:05 p.m., Oswald was taken to the basement, searched and put in a lineup.  In the search, officers found five cartridges and other nondescript items in his possession.

At 4:20 p.m., Oswald was again being questioned by Fritz.

Two hours later, at about 6:20 p.m., he was again placed into a lineup before quickly being returned to Fritz's office.

Shortly after 7 p.m., the Dallas police charged Oswald with the murder of patrolman J.D. Tippit.

At 7:40 p.m., Oswald was again taken to the basement to be placed into a lineup and then returned to Fritz's office.

At about 8 p.m., following more questioning, Oswald's fingerprints were taken and a paraffin test was administered -- which was followed by more questioning.

At 11:26 p.m., Oswald was charged with the murder of President John F. Kennedy.  Shortly before midnight he was taken to an assembly room in the basement where he made an appearance for several minutes before members of the media.

At about 12:20 a.m., Nov. 24, Oswald was moved to a maximum security jail cell, under guard and with no occupants on either side.

Just after 1:30 a.m., Oswald was moved to the fourth floor where he was formally arraigned for the murder of President Kennedy.
