12/22 Catch Some Holiday Cheer

Come to the Hotel Nikko in San Francisco tonight for a cozy winter's evening with Russ Lorenson and his special guests Carly Ozard, Veronica Klaus, and Katya Smirnoff-Skyy, as they celebrate five years of jazzy Christmases.  The show starts at 8 p.m. and you can get information about tickets

at this link.

Take a walk through Biblical history in Redwood City at the Bethlehem A.D. Living with Christmas Experience.  A church puts together a living recreation of the navity the night of Jesus of Nazereth was born. It runs through Thursday rain or shine.

You may have to do it under palm trees, but since it is Christmas time that means there are lots of ice skating options around the Bay Area that are open seven days a week.

In the City, you can skate along the Embarcadero or in Union Square.

In San Jose, you can skate amid the Christmas in the Park extravaganza downtown and under California palm trees.

In Walnut Creek, you can skate within Civic Park.

And if you are looking for something non-holiday related. How about a musical.  Based on the Oscar-winning film, Shrek: The Musical -- replete with singing Donkey -- runs at the Orpheum Theater through Dec. 31. Tickets run $30-$99.
