6/11-6/13: Naked Biking, Dipsea Race, King City Tour

NAKED BIKE RIDE: An episode of Seinfeld focused on "good naked" and "bad naked" some time ago and we are betting he'd put clothes-free cycling in the "bad naked" category. But this weekend in San Francisco, going naked on a bike is good. The 7th Annual World Naked Bike Ride invites people to take a stand against America's dependence on fossil fuels by stripping down and mounting two-wheeled transportation. We're not saying it will be a pretty scene, but they are certain to get some attention. Meet at Justin Herman Plaza at noon to participate.

DIPSEA RACE: It's the 100th running of the Dipsea Race Sunday. First run in 1905, the Dipsea is the oldest trail race in America. It's held every year on the second Sunday in June. The scenic 7.4-mile course from Mill Valley to Stinson Beach is considered to be one of the most beautiful courses in the world. The stairs and steep trails make it a grueling and treacherous race. And its unique handicapping system has made winners of men and women of all ages.

DR. ELMO: Elmo Shropshire, a.k.a Dr. Elmo, is best-known for his recording of "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer," the Christmas classic which has sold more than 10 million copies since it was first broadcast by a San Francisco radio station in 1979. He'll be performing Saturday at 1 p.m. at Lytton Square in downtown Mill Valley
