A Berkeley grandmother is suing the U.S. Army for a plane ticket and 15 mocha lattes.
She had been approved to be embedded with troops in Iraq but that was later canceled.
Jane Stillwater is a blogger and wanted to cover the war. She was granted the protected status and immediately bought a ticket to Kuwait.
But within hours, the military said it made a mistake and she would not be embedded.
She took the flight she bought the ticket for anyway and waited at a Starbucks for two days hoping the miltary would reconsider.
But it didn't.
Reimbersment was also denied so she filed a lawsuit.
