Beyonce Plans San Jose Stop

Mrs. Carter performs at HP Pavilion on July 2

Following her electrifying Super Bowl XLVII halftime performance, which featured guest appearances from her former Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, Beyoncé has announced that she’s embarking on a major world tour which will make a stop in the Bay Area this summer.

The tour begins in Belgrade, Serbia in April and is set to land at San Jose's HP Pavilion on July 2.

The San Jose concert will be the singer's third stop in the United States and her first Bay Area show in four years. So far a total of 22 North American dates have been scheduled, but more are likely to be announced as and when the shows sell out.

Following the U.S. and Canadian dates, the singer will head south to Brazil to headline the world's largest music festival, Rock in Rio, on September 13.

We’re told that the tour will be the singer’s "most ambitious undertaking to date.” Stops in Latin America, Australia and Asia have yet to be announced, but the show is likely to be on the road for almost one year.

Tickets for the San Jose show go on sale February 11 via Live Nation.
