Body Found on South Bay Golf Course Identified

Police say murder not likely

The Santa Clara County medical examiner's office has identified a  man whose body was found in the San Jose foothills on Nov. 15.

Kevin Bryan Short of Sunnyvale, 42, was found at about 6 p.m. in the hills  above Boulder Ridge Golf Course, Santa Clara County sheriff's Sgt. Don  Morrissey said.

He was found shirtless, but a black T-shirt was found near the  body.

The medical examiner's office last week asked for the public's  help in identifying the man. However, investigators managed to identify him  late Friday using his fingerprints.

San Jose police are still investigating the death but a police  spokesman said it does not appear to be a murder.

"As of right now, it's not being investigated as a homicide," San  Jose police Officer Enrique Garcia said.
