Brian Westbrook Lights Up Cardinals

Previous benchwarmer Brian Westbrook returned to his glory days last night, rushing for 136 yards and a touchdown in the 49ers 27-6 victory over the Arizona Cardinals. The former Philadelphia star got his Mox moment when Frank Gore went down in the 49ers opening drive, reportedly sustaining a season-ending broken hip. After only carrying the ball for nine yards all season long, Westbrook came out of nowhere to dominate, potentially becoming a late season fantasy favorite in the process. Even more surprising than Wesbrook's rekindled love affair with yardage is that the borderline dismal 4-7 49ers squad are suddenly back in the NFC West running, just one game behind joint division leaders Rams and Seahawks. Perhaps Singletary's cross is working out after all...
