College Kids Hide the Booze, Bust Out the Candy for 1 Night

It's not all about beer bongs and streaking down Piedmont Avenue for Berkeley fraternities and sororities.

Once in awhile the cool kids of UC Berkeley take a break from partying to help the kids. Not themselves, the younger kids.

Some Berkeley fraternities and sororities will give away candy and other sweet treats -- no tricks sorry -- to a group of elementary school students.

The sixth annual "Trick or Greek" event will take place Thursday at 25 Greek houses around Channing Circle in Berkeley.

The event is traditionally held just days before Halloween for local elementary school kids to take part in a fun and safe trick-or-treating environment.

Last year's event attracted more than 600 children from local schools.
