It's been an all-out pre-fall marathon at the local boutiques this week, with heaps of fall-tastic threads rolling into the neighborhood shops. One of our favorite Cow Hollow indie-tailers Conifer is no exception, with a fresh new batch of the New York-based line MM6 gracing their racks this week.
"I love the MM6 line because of the quality of craftsmanship, superior textiles, and quirky details. All the fabrics are so soft to the touch and everything is made in Italy. You can feel and see the quality," states the shop's owner Amy Mautz on her soft-spot for anything Italian-made.
The latest pre-fall collection includes a long-sleeved cotton maxi dress and leggings for $220 a pop. Mautz weighs in on the seemingly daunting price of these viscose blend pants, and why they're worth the purchase:
"I haven’t seen this style of legging out there with the fitted bottom and loose top—it’s usually all about super tightness, so It’s refreshing to see a different perspective on a basic. I think it’s funny how we don’t want to spend a lot on basics but in fact it’s better to buy a higher quality tee or jean since they will be worn all the time. You'll want to live in these!"
Conifer's latest shipment of pre-fall wares also include hand-screen-printed shirts by Brooklyn-based line Uzi, biodegradable dresses and shirts by Organic by John Patrick, and suede cord, powder coated necklaces by Seattle-based line Lacoli & McAllister.
