Digable Planets at Club 6, Pop-up Day Drinking…

Cool Like Dat: While the name might not immediately ring a bell, we assure you the unmistakable jazzy baseline from Digable Planets' 2003 hit "Rebirth of the Slick" will. Yea, that track is still the jam. The once dormant neo-soul pioneers roll through Club 6 Friday night with Wu Tang's Killah Priest and Hieroglyphics. Show is at 8pm and tickets are $20.

Mass up!: Love it or loath it, Critical Mass is a tough one for San Francisco residents to ignore. The long running monthly ride is set to take over the city once again this Friday, with thousands expected to converge at the usual Justin Herman Plaza meeting spot. Like always, the free ride is loosely scheduled to start around 6pm.

Zulu Nation: Remember when Yoshi's Jazz Club was, well, a jazz club? Jazz's loss is our gain this weekend, as the intimate venue invites hip hop pioneer and perennial activist Afrika Bambaataa to grace its stage. The show goes down Saturday at 8pm; tickets are $16.

Pop and Lock: With dozens of local artisans selling their handcrafted goods and promises of post-Thanksgiving inspired cocktails, the Madrone Craft Bar Pop-up Shop sounds a wee bit more appealing to us than just about every other shopping event set to go down this weekend. Truth be told, they had us at "day drinking." The no cover fun starts Sunday at 1pm.
