TENDERNOB—Friday and Saturday nights at Brick will now feature a new lounge and artist gallery. It's a 50-person space with its own private bar, small plates menu, and soundtrack. If all goes to plan, the room will be able to host a few holiday parties in the coming months. [EaterWire]
CELEB CHEFS—Regular Top Chef judge and Le Bernardin bossman, The Ripper himself, Eric Ripert, is on a national book tour for his new endeavor On The Line: Inside the World of Le Bernardin and he's making two Bay Area stops: Omnivore Books on Food on Cesar Chavez (12/11) and the CIA in St. Helena (12/12). OAKLAND—Hey, it's been awhile since we've heard about any Oakland food-related robberies: "A security guard was shot in the foot after police say he grabbed a robber and the cash he was carrying during a robbery of an Oakland market.
