EaterWire: Couleur Cafe Shutter Delayed, Plus Wine Week

POTRERO HILL—November 15th was originally slated to be the shutter date for Couleur Cafe, but now they've delayed the closure indefinitely and "for at least three weeks." The restaurant says that the pizzeria/osteria combo is still en route, but we did spot this For Sale ad this week, and well, those photos look awfully familiar. [EaterWire]

SAN FRANCISCO—The promo weeks, they inundate. Next week is Wine Week. This lasts until the 15th, at which point we'll begin Appetite Stimulus Week: "Geared toward the new generation of wine lovers that permeate the Bay Area, the six-day event will provide attendees with the opportunity to taste wines from around the globe ... Admission is $75 and includes access to all six events taking place around the city, winding up Saturday with a gala event." [Chron]

PRINT MEDIA—Even though the first issue of the Food Network Magazine was a bit of snoozefest of a dud, Hearst has approved the project: "One test edition of the food title rolled out in mid-October with a distribution of 325,000, and another test is planned for January, to be followed by the first official issue in June/July 2009. Food Network Magazine, targeted at food lovers and Food Network viewers 25-54 years old, is scheduled for every-other-month publishing in 2009, though the plan is to eventually bump its frequency up to monthly" [DMNews]For more stories from Eater SF, go to sf.eater.com.
