Dragons still do exist, at least little ones anywqay.
The electronic music band Little Dragon, based in Gothenburg, Sweden, will be playing Cafe Du Nord in San Francisco Sunday at 7 p.m.
Made up of Swedish-Japanese singer Yukimi Nagano and her close friends Erik Bodin, Fredrik Källgren Wallin and Håkan Wirenstrand, Little Dragon first released a double A-side 7’’ single "Twice’/’Test" in 2006.
The following year, the band signed with the larger British indie Peacefrog Records and released their debut self-titled album Little Dragon.
They have built up a dedicated following across the world with their wide ranging music from a variety of influences.
“We had an admiration for each other musically, and way before we defined ourselves as a band we were making music and hanging out,” Yukimi said in a statement. “It’s like a family, and the band is our big passion. Little Dragon reminds you that when you're really creating music, it's like building a ship that will travel in a direction previously inconceivable.”
Tickets for the show are still available for $15 at Cafe Du Nord.
