You may want to exhale pot heads. A tax on marijuana won't be introduced this spring after all.
Assemblyman Tom Ammiano doesn't have a co-author for his proposal to regulate the sale of pot to adults.
Ammiano said taxing marijuana would generate more than a billion dollars a year for California.
He said he expects the bill to receive its first hearing in the fall. If passed, California would become the first state in the nation to legalize and regulate marijuana sales to adults.
