The Latest from EDUN: Bold Patterns & Flowy Silhouettes

Organic green eco fashion

Judging by the well-meaning items typically crafted from hemp, organic cotton, bamboo, and other greenery, much as you wanna love them...good intentions do not good fashion make. Unless, of course, they're from EDUN, the socially conscious clothing company founded in 2005 by Ali Hewson and her husband Bono to help build sustainable communities and encourage apparel production in Africa by designing and selling fabulous fashion. For Spring/Summer 2009, the collection is multi-culti, inspired by "the majesty of the kingdom of Africa, fused with the finesse of the French." Translation: interesting cut-out motifs, sweaters knit from organic cotton in open-weave tribal patterns, and luxe intricately-patterned satins and silks in flowing silhouettes. Up close, the fabrics and details are especially luxurious and thoughtful as guests at the recent launch of the EDUN pop-up store in San Francisco discovered. Until 4/30, use the code TheFind25 to receive 25% off anything in the EDUN Spring/Summer 2009, including our picks (above, from left): 100% organic cotton Leopard Sash white V-neck Tee,
Serengeti Denim Sacred straight leg 6-pocket jeans, 100% silk georgette Nyasa cami top, 100% organic cotton black Conservation Top, and the "African Violet" 100% organic cotton Hexagon Sweater. For more eco-chic steals & deals, search on TheFind.
