Giants Get New Spanish Radio Partner

Longtime broadcasters Tito Fuentes and Erwin Higueros will remain at the mic.

Giants fans who like to hear their play-by-play in Spanish will have to tune their dial to 850 AM this season now that the team has signed with KTRB ESPON Deportes.

KTRB has one of the strongest broadcast signals in the San Francisco Bay Area so the broadcasts will be easier to catch no matter where you are when the Giants are at bat. KTRB can not only be heard throughout the Bay Area’s nine counties, it reaches all the way to Sacramento

The Giants Spanish broadcast team will be  Tito Fuentes and Erwin Higueros.

ESPN Deportes started its 24-hour sports programming in Coral Gables, Florida in 2005 as the hub of ESPN Deportes Radio studios.  Since then, the network has grown literally across the country all the way to San Francisco.

“ESPN Deportes Radio is known nationally for their exclusive Spanish Language broadcast of MLB Sunday night games, the MLB All-Star Game, the League Championship Series and the World Series, all which connect the Spanish speaking communities of the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California to baseball. The Giants are proud to join this impressive line-up of games,” said Larry Baer, Giants Chief Executive Officer.

“The Giants are a first-class organization and all of us at 860 AM ESPN Deportes are thrilled about our new partnership.  The addition of the Giants to our programming line-up is a high profile extension to the ESPN Deportes brand and a big win for the Northern California Hispanic sports fans,” said Michael Sher, general manager 860 AM ESPN Deportes.

860 AM ESPN Deportes will carry a total of 70 broadcasts, including all week night and weekend home games and the Giants versus Oakland A’s road games.
