Last Call!: Public Opinion Sought on the Transbay Terminal

You knew this day would come, people: the Transbay Terminal, it is nigh, and the city's making a last ditch effort to appease the citizens' fears of that imminent skyline change. The Planning Department will be on hand tomorrow, Thursday, 5:30 p.m. on the 2nd floor of the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (701 Mission Street at 3rd) to present the final proposals for the Transbay Transit Center to the public and discuss the "ground impact aspects" of the project. This is the fourth and final workshop for the plan, which is set to kick off with the construction of the Temporary Terminal at Folsom, Main, Beale and Howard streets in a few short weeks. Prefer to soak in the high-rise gloom in the comfort of your own home? You can get a juicy preview of the Planning Department's presentation here, in this giant jargon-filled PDF. "Quality of space" sidewalk widths, greenery and historic preservation? Damnit, where's the shadow porn, Switzky??
