Live 105's BFD: M.I.A., Foster The People and Local Bands

Radio station fest takes Shoreline on June 1

Alternative radio station Live 105's annual music festival is a big effing deal, so it's called BFD. This year's edition takes place on June 1 at Shoreline Amphitheatre with main stage headliners M.I.A., Foster the People, Fitz and the Tantrums, Phantogram and New Politics.

Besides the main stage, there will be three more areas with local and national bands. Acts on the Bud Light Stage include Walk the Moon, MS MR, KONGOS, Cherub, Bleachers, Birds Of Tokyo, Big Data, Bear Hands, Finish Ticket, SKATERS, and Semi Precious Weapons. The Bud Light Platinum Subsonic Stage, manned by Live 105 DJ and "Subsonic" show host Aaron Axelsen, will feature Flosstradamus, RAC, Giraffage, The Knocks, Amp Live, WhiteNoize, St. John, Miles the DJ, John Beaver, and DJ Dials. And the Soundcheck Local Band Stage will be played by Waters, The Hundred Days, French Cassettes, Everyone Is Dirty, The Trims, Ghost Town, Jenny, Breakdown Valentine, Fever Charm, and Rio Rio.

We've featured many of these local artists on this blog and at our free monthly events and are proud to see them appearing at this big celebration of Bay Area music. Tickets for BFD ($35-69.50) go on sale at 10 AM on April 26 on Live Nation. Live 105 will have lots of tickets to give away on air as well.
