Long Arm of the Law Reaches for a Cool One

Microbrew and "pub club" Elizabeth Street Brewery — which is just a couple's house in Noe Valley — was busted this week for their "open bar/brewery," which just goes to show that no good deed or garage speakeasy goes unpunished.

The neighborhood booze purveyors are known among its loyalists, but apparently not to one neighbor, who was finally alerted by a sign in ESB's driveway — and who in turn alerted the fuzz.

All's well that ends well, however, and things have apparently been worked out with the police. Cheers!
