Nothing's Too Posh for Silicon Valley Pups

Luxe digs for dogs opening this weekend

It's a dog's life ... but it ain't so ruff!

A least not if you're staying at the new Pooch Hotel opening this weekend in Sunnyvale.

Already up and running in Chicago, the luxury digs feature 15,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor play space, flat-panel TVs and a "zen den" with a pillow and personal masseuse.

Four-legged family members who prefer to be alone can stay in the private wing and there's also a group sleeping room for pups that don't want to brave the night solo.

Water-loving dogs will be right at home in the indoor pool, which is set at a cozy 75 degrees and includes and an underwater treadmill for those achy hips. There's no shortage of special attention here -- the pool uses natural saline because it's more gentle on skin and fur.

Canine clients can be treated to facials, grooming and aromatherapy bathing at the on-site Spaw. The stylists will even touch up gray muzzles, for those age-conscious pooches.

The founder of the Pooch Hotel came up with the idea after bad experiences with her own pups.

Mama and papa pup can keep watch over their furry family member from afar via Web cams set up in the posh place.

Rates run from $30 for single-day visits to $100 for the Presidential Suite stay.
