Every year, supporters and friends of The League to Save Lake Tahoe flock to a gorgeous estate near the lake to watch one of the finest benefit fashion shows in the country.
This year, as in the most recent years,Oscar de la Renta will be the featured designer, showcasing his 2010 Resort collection, with Saks Fifth Avenue producing the show. This will be the 40th anniversary event, which also includes a live auction and raffle of items from the Ritz Carlton, Bulgari, Boucheron, and of course Oscar de la Renta and Saks.
The sell-out crowd (of over 600 people expected this year) always includes some of the most active philanthropists and fashionistas in the Bay Area, as well as some of the most fabulous hats. Last year's show raised over $600,000 to help protect the environmental quality and natural beauty in the Lake Tahoe basin.
This year, Tamara Fritz is chair and hostess, supported by co-chairs Emily Andrews and Barbara Brown. Other sponsors include Diana Dollar Knowles, Grey Goose vodka, and Catherine MacAfee Interior Design.
Look for coverage of this incredible show all over the Style pages, and we'll do our best to put up a photo spread after the event as well. And for those who want to try and obtain tickets for next year, send e-mail to info(at)keeptahoeblue(dot)org.
