The Secret to Successories

A local jewelry legend opens a new shop in Noe Valley

Pamela Wiston-Charbonneau is an accessories legend in the Bay Area.

Her first store was located in a red caboose on Hwy 1 in Pacifica. The odd setting reflected her unique inventory: sophisticated, one-of-a-kind pieces that soon made her famous. In addition to running the store, Wiston-Charbonneau acted as a representative for local jewelry designers, introducing them to other retailers up and down the coast of California.

Now that Successories has relocated to Noe Valley, the spotlight is back on the owner. The place is stocked with a unique combination of vintage treasures, new collections, and recycled fashions, some created by Wiston-Charbonneau herself. Most items are available for between $10 and $100.

When it comes to the revitalized pieces, a coral-raised flowerbud set in silver is breathtaking. Then there's the line of vintage postcards that have been recycled into one-of-a-kind greeting cards. Each image, font, ribbon, and paper is carefully selected by creator Abby Arcilla, making the cards suitable for gift-giving or framing.

Wiston-Charbonneau's personal contribution is a line of rings that she makes from retro buttons. They're way too cute to buy just one.
