San Francisco has always had a 24-hour noise ordinance, but now it seems the city will be really be enforcing it. A new ordinance just passed by the Board of Supes will allow city inspectors to gauge bass levels of ambient noise and place restrictions on "excessive" sound from and residential sources -- anything from your neighbors fighting to the downstairs club's subwoofer blasting.
