The Dish: Medici Lounge Opening Tonight, Menu Revealed

SoMa: Coming off a few test runs over the weekend, longtime plywood regular Medici Lounge will finally open to the general public for the first time tonight. It's a good looking, small-ish space on the corner of Ninth and Folsom, but it's the menu—which is below—that is pretty unique and worth a look, we think. It's very autumnal (lots of squash family members) and more interestingly, in this opening version, prices are intriguingly low. It's something we suppose fitting for the economic times, though we are very curious as to what exactly is entailed in dishes like a $5 octopus cioppino and a $7 pasta. 299 Ninth Street, at Folsom; (415) 863-6334
