Woodhouse Fish Co. Goes Live on Fillmore

1) Pacific Heights: Open today for the first time is the new Fillmore Street location of Woodhouse Fish Company. However, be advised that it's open for lunch only right now, with dinner en route sometime in the next few weeks when they get their liquor license. Right across the street from SPQR, it's the first sequel to the East Coast fish shack on Market, but is about twice the size of the original, with an expanded menu and everything. But it's just the latest spinoff in an area that already boasts spinoffs like Dosa, Bushi-Tei Bistro, Pizzeria Delfina, SPQR and the forthcoming Phan project. 1914 Fillmore Street, between Pine and Bush; (415) 437-2722; website [EaterWire]

2) The Mission: Speaking of offshoots, the Mission location of plywood alum Cafe Prague is up and running. It's the same deal—Czech fare, beer, cafe—as the FiDi location on Merchant Street, but the hours are a bit different: open for dinner at 4pm on weekdays, open all day on weekends. 2140 Mission Street, between 17th and 18th; (415) (415) 627-7464 [EaterWire]

3) Bonus Mission: Down on Valencia, Anthony's Cookies debuted over the weekend. As you should be able to gather from the name, it's a cookie, and for now, it's cash only. Burrito Justice filed an early report from the scene. 1417 Valencia Street, between 25th and 26th; (415) 655-9834; website [EaterWire]

4) Napa: Oxbow Market rang in its one year birthday not too long ago, and today, it welcomes Kara's Cupcakes into the fold. According to the NVR, 14 varieties will be served daily at $3.25 a pop, including four filled versions. 610 1st Street, Napa; (707) 258-2253; website [EaterWire]
