The Shutter: Kookez Cafe Officially Doneski

All closure notices arrive via The Shutter. The tipline awaits your sightings, eagerly.

Noe Valley: At long last, the time has come for Kookez Cafe. It was revealed back in July that they had sold the space. The sale took longer than anticipated to finalize, which meant that Kookez ran on weekend brunch since late summer, but after several false alarms elsewhere, the family-run joint has now decided to forego their lingering brunch service too, meaning that they officially served their last meal last weekend. The Kookez folks will be moving to Sunnyvale where they'll consider another restaurant project, but as for the 24th Street space, the details regarding the next inhabitant—"Tangerine Restaurant Group"—are still scant, so if anyone has any intel, drop us a line.
