Turnberry Towers Up in Rincon's Grill

Oh, hope! Rincon dwellers, we hope you're sitting down: looks like you'll be getting those high-rises we know you really wanted after all. Or, well, at least one of them. Group 24 L.L.C. just bought in 50-50 with Turnberry on the latter's Turnberry Tower, the $300 million, 40-story luxury condo building going up at 45 Lansing Street. The high-rise will house residences from one-bedrooms to townhouses, 1,000 to nearly 4,000 square feet, plus the requisite fitness center, 24-hour valey parking and concierge. And all across the street from Rincon Tower #1! Group 24 called it an <strong"extremely compelling="" investment" which is much-needed good news for Turnberry: the developer just last week cancelled construction on a huge residential tower project in Houston. This is just their first outing into the San Francisco market, so it's a good thing they have a buddy.
