Under 500 Club: Co-op With Carpet to Spare

The Under 500 Club is Curbed SF's exclusive members-only support group for those shoddy, poorly-staged homes (if at all!) languishing on the market for under $500,000. It's a sad state of affairs out there, San Francisco. All sad sacks and shitboxes should appeal to the Curbed SF inbox.

With this low low price, why even bother staging? Or making the bed for that matter! 1550 O'Farrell Street #6 is a 3 bedroom/2 bath apartment in St. Francis Square Co-op that clocks in at $375,000 for 1,050 square feet of janky pink wall-to-wall carpeting (hey, it's vintage). That's a relatively low $357/per, though dues are a wee bit steep at $824 a month (but: including all utilities plus parking). This thing was built in the '60s and it shows: combo living/dining, galley kitchen with mismatched linoleum and drop ceilings available at no extra cost. Bonus: um, "nice tree view."
