Wall Street Ripple: 535 Mission Suspended

First it was condos; then, offices (though, uh, zoned residential). Now? Nothing. No permits have been withdrawn for the 27-story structure, but it's unclear when the building might resume. It may be next door to the brand-new well-lit 555 Mission tower, but with sales slowing and investors tightening their grips on their wallets... Well, you know the rest. So no new Chinese fingertrap -- or for that matter, any new towers up in that bit of SoMa for at least the next few years. (Yes, Transbay, it is nigh.)
