6/19-6/21: Father's Day Events

Did you forget that Sunday is Father's Day? No worries. Take Dad along to one of these fun events this weekend and you'll be sure to be his new favorite child

SINGLES DANCE: If you and your dad are single, check out the Elegant Lock & Key Singles Dance at the Claremont Resort Hotel in Berkeley. Women get locks, men get keys, hilarity (and hopefully romance) ensues. The event starts at 8 p.m., and tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door.

MOVIE IN DOLORES PARK: If you've never seen the classic James Bond film "Goldfinger," you can do so on Saturday night in San Francisco's Dolores Park thanks to Film Night in the Park. Get your blanket and pillow and set up shop on the grass for the 8 p.m. showing.  And don't forget the snacks-- Butterfingers, perhaps? Suggested donation is $6.

POLK STREET PUB CRAWL: There's no way to better bond with Dad (or strangers) than by drinking with them during the day. Join Crawl SF on Saturday for a journey down Polk Street full of cheap cocktails, even cheaper beer and fun by the bottle. Tickets are $6 in advance, $10 at the event.

ALICE'S SUMMERTHING: Want to see Gavin Rossdale and Sugar Ray for free? Check out Alice's Summerthing on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Golden Gate Park's Speedway. For some odd reason, the Web site's FAQ's say "no snakes, lizards, iguanas, or other scary reptiles," so it may be worth it to just to see why that is a Frequently Asked Question.
