What You're Doing Tonight: 11/26

Swing dancing, a goth show and a good laugh

Want to get a work out before eating that 3,000 calorie plus Thanksgiving meal? You could take your partner and try swing dancing.

Beardsley's in San Mateo will be offering swing dancing lessons tonight for $11. More than 100 dancers show up to their events. The fun begins at 7 p.m. at 100 North B St. in San Mateo.

Maybe you would prefer to hear some tunes without the dancing. Well you could check Sisters of Mercy at the Grand Ballroom. The British goth band will bring their gloomy sound to the Grand Ballroom on Sutter and Van Ness streets starting at 8 p.m. Tickets are available at Goldenvoice.

Maybe you would prefer a laugh. Why not check out Dat Phan, the original last comic standing, at Cobb's Comedy Club in San Francisco.

Phan won the popular television show competition in 2003 for his jokes about being Vietnamese and his awkward relationship with his mom and dad.

The show starts at 7 p.m. at 915 Columbs Ave. in San Francisco.
