HARD-CORE RAP: Get your rap fix at Ruby Skye with multi-platinum producer and recording artist DJ Quik and hard-core rapper Kurupt. Two of hip hop's best-known West Coast reps, they'll be performing new material and pulling some out from their infamous catalog of successes. Prices go for $20-$25.

REGGAE IN THE PARK: Stick around downtown San Jose after work for the second installment of Music in the Park. Jam to reggae as Sierra Leone's Refugee Allstars take the stage. As their name implies, the members of the band are refugees who played played music as a break from the sometimes weary and hostile environment of camp life.

TINK GLASSES WITH SEA LIFE: Nightlife takes on new meaning as the California Academy of Sciences transforms from a center for learning to a place to party and exhibit hop with drink in hand. Mingle among nature and dance to music from some of San Francisco's most popular DJs from 6 - 10 p.m.
