What You're Doing Tonight: November 15

k.d. Lang Plays Oakland 

Grammy award winning artist k.d. Lang will play the elegant Paramount Theatre in Oakland on Nov. 15. Lang, famous for her hit "Constant Craving," started singing more than 25 years ago.

The soft singing arist's career took off when musical legend Roy Orbison chose her to record a duet of his hit song, "Crying." The collaboration won them the Grammy Award for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals in 1989.

In 1988 she released "Shadowland," a country album produced by the legendary Owen Bradley. She also performed "Turn Me Round" at the closing ceremonies of the XV Winter Olympics in Calgary, Alberta in 1998, her native land.
