When the ABC Attacks

So, the Dept. of Alcoholic Beverage Control is on a tear, suddenly enforcing new and nebulous laws at a number of big-name venues around the city, including Bottom of the Hill, Slim's, Great American Music Hall and Cafe Du Nord: "[The] ABC has decreed that at least half of the clubs' revenue must come from food sales ... [Cafe Du Nord] was chastised by the ABC for opening to the public at 7 p.m. instead of 5 p.m., the hour owners put on their application form more than 15 years ago."
