Haight Whole Foods Goes Lego

690 Stanyan St, the Whole Foods + residential development in the Haight, has a new look. Again.

At an informational presentation to the Planning Commission last week, the Haight Ashbury Neighborhood Council brought their criticisms to the table again, reiterating their concern over traffic and Whole Foods' anti-union track record.

The other Haight group, Haight Ashbury Improvement Association, also piled on, saying they were "astounded" at the building's "Lego-look of a square." Make your own comparisons. (And an even older rendering on their website.)
