A homicide investigation is underway in Hayward after a man was shot and killed early Sunday, according to the Alameda County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office stated that deputies around 3 a.m. responded to a reported shooting in the area of the 21200 block of Mission Boulevard. When they arrived, they found the man inside a vehicle suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the sheriff's office.
A motive is not known at this time, according to the sheriff's office.
Traffic between Mattox Road and Blossom Way will be impacted as a result of the investigation, according to the sheriff's office.
