New App Shows You Who To Vote For

Berkeley students launch Politify

If you're one of the many coveted "undecided" voters when it comes to the race for President, and you're looking for a little help beyond the barrage of ads ... there's an app for that.

Politify just launched, straight out of UC Berkelely. The Bay Area university that doesn't get anywhere near the tech press of its southern neighbor Stanford has come up with something very cool. Politify's slogan is "Personalize your politics," and it lives up to it.

At the website (politify.us) or as an app, Politify lets you get personal. Put in your ZIP code, tax filing status, even income (it promises not to do anything with the data), and it will tell you how much money you'll save (or lose) if Obama or Romney wins.

You can then fill out information about where you live and find out which candidate is best for your neighborhood. It's a cool way to check on your own interests. Admittedly, there are several factors Politify doesn't (and can't) know about you -- but this is a start, especially if you're still sitting on the fence.
