Some neighbors in Mountain View say plans for a new shopping, entertainment and dining center are moving forward without proper planning.
The Village at San Antonio Center with housing and retail at El Camino and San Antonio is just about complete. Construction on phase two of the project is expected to begin in a year.
Some are calling the development Mountain View's Santana Row. The Greater San Antonio Community Association says the City Council should delay the massive project to complete an updated precise plan.
A plan that will clearly spell out exactly what is required from the developer.
"Our main concern is traffic this is likely to clog up everything and hasn't been planned for," resident Paul Edwards said.
At a study session Tuesday night City Council members indicated they plan to continue moving forward and they are considering things like bike lanes, parks and traffic mitigation.

Negotians are underway according to developer Merlone Geier Partners.
With several months left to share ideas and hammer out deals the Community Association says it plans to keep speaking up about a development that is sure to change the neighborhood.
